The item itself works fairly well for what it is; it's simple, straight forward, no frills, works as designed. I got it for my husband because he was about to get the first of two ankle surgeries, and we have young children so I wanted something sturdy so if the kids got too excited saying 'hi' in the morning they couldn't accidentally topple his foot/leg down. Considering he needs to be on strict bed rest for an extended period of time I was a big disappointed that it was difficult to find a way to cover and protect the cushion. I ended up using a duvet cover and pinning it all around it, but again, he needs it 24/7 basically and for quite a long time and not only for one ankle surgery but two about 6 months apart; so I worry about the longevity of this thing.with absorbing smells, being easy to clean (how to clean), and any time you pick it up to move or adjust it, you lose little chunks of foam no matter how careful you are, which makes you worried about compromising the integrity of the structure.

I was very disappointed in this product. After a couple of uses, several pieces of the foam came off the smallest end and several more pieces continue to fall off. The concept is good but quality could be improved.

had foot surgery 5 weeks ago and needed to have the foot elevated (a lot). Functionally this pillow worked fine. On occasion I put another 1 inch foam pad under it to further increase elevation, but that was probably unnecessary. It is designed to elevate one leg. I was disappointed that no cover came with the pillow and given a choice I'd pay more for one with a cover. The foam is hot and you need to keep a sheet on top of the foam. My guess is that the foam is also a breeding place for bacteria harboring in skin oils and skin. I did buy a different shaped pillow as well and found that to not be as useful, although a good change from time to time. So a A+ for function, a C- for quality.

The product is a soft foam that tears apart if you try to grab it with 2 fingers. BE CAREFUL

Was ok.... not exactly the right pic for a knee replacement since the leg must be Elevated as well as straight! Expensive for what it is.... quality ok but is falling apart with use....

Sturdy and stable, doesn't fall off the couch like the piles of pillows I used to use. However, not super worth the price- if you're not careful when you move it, you can easily puncture or rip off the foam. Mine is riddled with holes and rips. And see the gap behind the person's knee in the photo? I put a pillow there to support my knee. Also, the foam is a tad coarse, so having the pillow there is softer.

The nice thing about this pillow is that you can use it for the groove for your foot. Or, if you want to lay your foot on its side, fill the groove with a blanket. Versatile!

Not very comfortable but it worked to keep my leg elevated. This thing is a pet hair magnet. You might be happier getting a product that is big enough to elevate both legs.

My husband had a tibial plateau fracture a month ago. After having 3 plates and 32 screws placed in his leg we used this to help reduce the swelling. It works ok, but my husband says that it is too tall and hurts his hip. He is 6'2" and when placed correctly under his leg, his foot nearly dangles off the end. Most of the time, after using this he ends up with muscle spasms in his thigh, so we have just used regular pillows instead. Good in theory, not so great in practice.

Was very pleased to find this but after using for less than two weeks, pieces of the cushion began to come off.
