Mission: At Kutoa Project, our mission is to provide therapeutic social services in a safe, Christ-centered environment. We accomplish that by equipping Kenyan youth who have been affected by violence, abuse, homelessness, trafficking, disease, or loss by providing therapeutic services. Kutoa Project believes that the road to restoration begins in a safe place. Since 2015, our goals have been to create a community of caregivers, counselors, and organizations equipped to deliver trauma-informed care for those facing challenging circumstances safely. Each person working through a complex crisis that seeks our help knows they are loved, not only at Kutoa Project but by our Savior Jesus Christ.
Results: Our goal is to create a sustainable community focused on providing a safe place for children and youth to feel loved, heard, and seen. Our approach is to walk alongside the organizations and create a safe place for those they care for to have an opportunity to share their struggles and begin the journey to restoration. Since 2017, we have provided individual & group counseling, trauma-informed training programs, and community enrichment programs. The primary focus for our organization is the ability to help break the cycles of trauma through counseling and our training programs. We will continue to adapt to the challenges being faced by those we serve to provide the best possible care. Children & Youth Impacted: 15,000+Caregivers Equipped: 250+Organizations Impacted: 200+
Target demographics: youth ages 6 to 25 who have been affected by violence, abuse, homelessness, trafficking, disease or loss by providing therapeutic services.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We impacted over 10,000 children & youth through our programming at Kutoa Project.
Geographic areas served: Nairobi, Kenya & Indiana, USA
Programs: We provide individual and group counseling, equip caregivers and organizations with trauma-informed care training and unite youth with positive support in their community.
