Mission: We reduce the animal population and reduce the risk of disease on the reservation by removing abused, neglected and unwanted animals from the reservation. We get them to the safety of our foster homes, then transport them to rescue groups outside of the reservation for rehoming. We also provide free spay/neuter clinics for animals remaining on the reservation.

Results: We began in Nov 2010.As of Sept 2022, We have removed 4575 animals and spayed/neutered over 2550.We've helped primarily dogs and cats, but also horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, a ferret, a hamster and a donkey.

Target demographics: the animals and the community

Direct beneficiaries per year: 488 animals removed, 120 spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

Geographic areas served: We improve the lives of animals on the Lake Traverse Reservation

Programs: removing abused, neglected and unwanted animals, and sending them to foster based rescue groups for rehoming, and providing free and reduced cost spay/neuter and vaccinations for animals that have great homes on the reservation.
