Mission: Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine (LVIM) provides high-quality, compassionate outpatient medical, dental, and mental health care to the working uninsured of Polk County with an impressive team of dedicated volunteers.

LVIM is a volunteer-run medical clinic where patients gain a medical home and have access to doctors' visits, dental and ophthalmological care, lab work, in-house x-rays and ultrasounds at no charge. More extensive diagnostics, such as CT's and MRI's, are also available through a network of participating ancillary providers who volunteer their facilities, staff and professional time at no charge to LVIM or the patients. Additionally, LVIM's full-service pharmacy provides patients with a formulary of generic medications as prescribed by volunteer providers and a Prescription Assistance Program provides high-cost medications at no cost to LVIM patients.

Additionally, LVIM hosts a mobile food pantry on the 2nd and last Tuesday of each month.

Lakeland Volunteers In Medicine is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 2002, and donations are tax-deductible.
