I am absolutely amazed. I have a 10 month old female German Shephard, I have been walking her with a harness and I weigh 240lbs and everytime we walk I still have to wrap the leash around my waist to keep her from pulling me and even then it is difficult to keep her restrained from running at cars or people she sees or just trying to run in general. I had to buy the medium collar because the small would not fit and I removed a prong. I put it on her and hooked up the leash and took her outside to try it, she tried to run like she always does when we first go out the door, she yelped when the collar tightened out of surprise not pain and she immediately stopped. We walked up and down the sidewalk and then down the street, she stayed by my side the whole time and I was able to hold the leash with just my hand for the first time ever. This collar is a miracle!!! I am really excited to go on our 2 mile walk tonight!!! Well worth the price!!!!

Very well made; I purchased the wrong size

I love the ease of taking the collar off. It is very sturdy and does a great job with my dog.

After years of of dog training have found Herm Sprenger is the only way to go. You pay more than other brands but they are superior. Have had several of them in different sizes and all are great. Have two of their collars over 30 years old and never had a single problem with them. Bought this one because I did not have this particular size. I like the collar, but one draw back on it which is only my personal preference. It has the quick connect and disconnect clip. I like the original where you connect and disconnect at the prong. I know why they make them this way, some cannot work or like using the prong to connect or disconnect. I feel the quick connect clip may add a weakness to the collar, but only my feelings. We will see if this causes any issues. The straight chain with no quick connect is one solid build with nothing extra to add weakness. I needed this one in a hurry and could not find the original style available, but they still make them. Supply issues again.

Sprenger is what my dog trainer recommended, and they're far better quality than pet store options. This quick release style is easier to put on and remove, since you don't have to squeeze the prong links themselves. It is not as secure however, so I wouldn't recommend it for an aggressive dog.

Perfect product herm springer pinch collar

My German Shepherd would pull and pay me no mind. This Herm Springer collar did the trick almost immediately when nothing else worked.

After using this HS prong collar, I now understand why it came so highly recommended! High quality materials with polished edges. My only complaint is that the part of the clamp that opens closes on the quick release does not have a polished edge. First try I injured my palm. Glad it was me not my dog so going forward, I have to be mindful.

This collar is fantastic, especially for dogs with ears that stand up. My German shepherd has loved this collar and loves how it doesn't grab her ears on the way off!

We have a strong dog that likes to pull and the first collar didn't work well for her. The trainer recommended that we upgrade to this one to be used only for walks, and it has worked beautifully.

Herm Sprenger is the best training collar on the market. Easy to remove with the easy release clip for my arthritic hands. Makes training a breeze and does not hurt your pup. Have used these collars for training many sized pups over the years. They are the best on the market

Life changing collar works great

I've spent hours trying to train our lab to walk on a leash. After months of consistency and many hours with a professional trainer I almost gave up. My dog pulled so hard one day that I landed on the pavement and she got away and was almost hit. After training six other dogs successfully, this time it seemed impossible.Another trainer recommended I try this collar not as an alternative to training but as a reinforcement, making sure it was properly fit to avoid hurting my pup. The Herm Sprenger collar helps her to stop when she begins to get out of control and keeps us both safe as we continue training with the Karen Pryor system.I can finally feel safe walking my dog again.
