Herm Sprenger prong collar IS THE BEST and Superior product. Get the 3mm - 3.2 mm for you 70 lb and up dog. The 4 mm (the one I bought) will be too blunt and less effective for training purposes. My Rottie pup (20 months) was less responsive to the 4mm which meant more work for me and him. But we made the adjustments necessary, he doesn't pull anymore.

This is a high quality collar, and produces the desired behavior control from my dog, however it is very difficult to put on and take off due to the small clasp on the chain which must be fished through a small hole in order to secure it on the animal. I'll be looking for a different brand with an easier to use attachment mechanism to replace this.

This is a reorder only because the quick release broke after about 6 years. Otherwise the collar is in great shape. The one I ordered is for the correct neck size for my dog but the links are smaller. They still work.

Bought this particular collar because of many recommendations on various trining videos. We are still in the introduction stage, but hope this will help teach the dog what not to do on walks

Just as HermSprenger is the best prong collar by far, this is the best HermSprenger by far. The easy release clip is BRILLIANTLY engineered. It is leveraged in a way that makes it as strong as the other links, but as easy to open as a clothes pin. It's elongated, narrow design prevents the dog from leaning, pushing or rubbing on things to release it.It may seem a little pricey, but once you get it, you'll see that the price translates into very high quality materials and design and is totally justified. Worth every penny and more to keep a dog from hurting itself or anyone else.

It works beautifully. Watched some YouTube on how to put on the dog and train to walk. I do have a second collar attached to the prong collar with a short attachment in case the prong collar comes undone.

This collar is a game changer for walking my dog aggressive, hard pulling boy.

Our dog came to us during 2020, he was not socialized well during these times due to quarantine. For some reason after he was neutered he became very aggressive (he was in the animal hospital for some time with pneumonia as well). He nipped at my 6 year old daughter's face and that was the last straw ( he's a big dog), we got a trainer and he got better with the kids. Months later he bit my son. The trainer suggested this collar. So far it really works while training. We use positive reinforcement but when he is aggressive and barks and lunges the collar helps to restrain him. The prongs are not sharp, they are rounded off. I would suggest using this with the guidance of a trainer but it is definitely helping to calm him down enough so that we can teach him.

If you have large dog with a big, strong neck, this collar works great for training. Blunt edges on the prongs, so it won't hurt your dog.

Make sure you know how to use this tool correctly. I recommend Tom Davis's YouTube videos. Also make sure you are getting genuine Herm Sprenger collar.
