I have the original Herm Sprenger prong collar and I absolutely love it. I wanted to try out this variation since it has a quick release rather than opening/closing via prongs. I think it's great for someone that doesn't have the dexterity to open the prongs; however, I felt as though it didn't fit the same as the original collar. It always felt somewhat off, no matter how many prongs I removed or added. My dog is between sizes so I usually need to alter the collar, which worked fine with the original. It might be more effective for a dog that fits better.

My dog is a bit in between sizes, but this still works just harder to get on now that I choose to have it tighter than loose. If it’s too loose will slide down dogs neck.

Effective for obedience distractions such as walking on the street or see’s another dog or squirrel where she/he will pull you down. The only downside is the cost, so EXPENSIVE.

There were no instructions on how to fasten this. My dog's trainer recommended it and it is effective. I was not fastening it the correct way. Now I am. Its tricky to get on and off, but when you manage it, it fits well.

I adopted a grown pitbull who was abused and was terrified of the leash. Was impossible to walk him. This collar changed it. And now my dog is learning to walk with me and gaining more trust in me.

We had this for a year and what a headache we had. I thought it would be easier to remove from my dogs neck but at times when the dog was relaxed the latch would break free from the link and we would have a wandering pup. We finally had to get a new easy off type since he destroyed it.
