My students live making 3D shapes with these. I think they do cost too much. They should come with more pieces for the price.

I live this product. If your young child likes to build this is a toy they'll love. It can be used to teach multiple math basics. This toy is a great addition to our home school curriculum and we use it often for multiple activities...

My students love these. The box and cards are a big flimsy for kindergarteners using them daily, but the materials are great!

This is amazing. There are enough pieces that both my 7 and 3 year olds can make shapes at the same time. The pieces are plastic/sturdy rubber and seem to be up to the quality of other learning resources products we have.

The pieces are easy to put together for both children. With my 3 year old I need to make sure she has the balls turned the correct way.
Which is my only real "complaint" to this kit. The shapes don't go together if you don't put the pegs in the right holes. But, it's all good, we pay close attention to the pictures and they all work. My kids have also invented their own shapes and made mini forts for their toys.

Great Stem toy; however I had to order a second set with the cards. Did not realize this came without cards.

We love this toy so much. My kids happily play with it every time I bring it out. It's great as an open ended toy for them just to create but I also like that they are "reading" the cards to make the suggested items. It's also great for showing my daughter (homeschool kinder) 2D and 3D shapes. Since I have 2 kids I did end up buying a second, smaller set (same company) just so they wouldn't fight over pieces.

Disclosure - free sample provided.Spring Break is almost here for my 7 and 9 year old. This is the perfect time for us to play with our learning toys. I like to find fun activities for my children, but I also love when they are educational. Learning Resources has a massive selection of items to make learning fun. They offer learning toys for all different levels, and for all different subject areas too.I received Learning Resources Dive into Shapes game. This is a game that is great for the classroom, but it's also great to use at home. My 7 year old wouldn't stop asking if she could open it. She is really interested in math, so this was perfect for her. The game comes with all the pieces you need to build a variety of different shapes. You can build single dimensional shapes or three dimensional shapes with these. It also includes a set of cards. The cards can be used to help teach your child how to build specific geometrical objects. The cards tell you how many of each piece you will need to create the shape. The cards also include a question that is something like What else in your world is the shape of the sphere? This really helps your child think about the shapes that are all around them.We put the Dive into Shapes game to use with my son's 3rd grade math homework. He had some questions in his math book that asked him to draw a 3 dimensional cube. He was having a hard time visualizing how to do this. I pulled out the Dive into Shapes pieces and we constructed the cube out of these. It really helped reinforce the concept and made it click!
