8 year-old grandson loved receiving this for his birthday. There was one broken piece. I reached out to the Lego store and they sent a replacement immediately. Very satisfied.

Buyer beware: the booklet does not have building instructions. The technology in these sets is pretty cool and the design is awesome, but you have to go on a device to get the instructions, either by downloading an app or going to the website. I hope Lego reconsiders this change after some feedback, because it's great that Lego encourages screen-free play and allows for problem solving, creativity, and critical thinking.

My son loves Lego and Mario. They are a bit expensive for Lego, but I knew the name brand would bring that price tag. The Lego app makes it easy to put together.

I only bought this to interact with the Nintendo Entertainment System LEGO set 71374. It works very well with that set, and it's a nice enhancement. After the novelty of that wore off, I decided to actually put this set together in its entirety, load the mobile phone app, and actually play the course. I expected it to be pretty lame, but it turned out to be really fun. It's cool to compete against yourself or someone else to see who can get the most coins, and you can set the course up any way you want. We liked it so much, in fact, we ordered the Luigi set to go with it. Considering the incredible amount of detail in the separate LCD screens, the interaction with colors, motions and barcodes, and really cool sounds, I'm surprised it cost less than $50. If you're a fan of Super Mario Brothers, I highly recommend this set.

The toy is really cool. My son loved it. It is possible to assemble several circuits with the parts and it is as if we were immersing ourselves in a video game, only in real life.Simply brilliant.
