Mission: Lend A Helping Paw Shih Tzu Rescue (LAHPSTR) is an all- volunteer, Michigan-based 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abused, neglected, abandoned, displaced, or otherwise homeless, fluffy, small-breed dogs, primarily Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apsos. We also operate a Forever Foster “sanctuary” program where dogs may live out their natural lives, if adoption is not possible due to age, health, or behavior. We operate nationwide.
Target demographics: small breed dogs that no one else wants, whether it be because they are seniors; sick and/or hospice ; special needs; or behaviorally challenged.
Geographic areas served: nationwide
Programs: nurturing rejected dogs in safe and loving foster homes, providing them with comprehensive veterinary care and healing their mind, body and soul.
