I thought because of the brand name of Lenox, they would be a bit more sturdy than they are.

I would not buy as a gift ! They aren't of good quality!

These are really beautiful. I bought 16 of them with plans to expand to 24. The Holly decoration is some kind of plastic stuck on the glass. All but one glass was perfect, but one had a manufacturing defect in the placement. I just used my fingernail to tear it off. No one will notice. That's the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. Definitely wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Look nice and all were happy to have these to add to the other stemware for the holiday. Arrived dirty, but cleaned up well.

The glasses are beautiful! A note for if you read some of the other reviews... keep in mind what you're buying. This is not a $100 set of crystal glasses that you'd use to host a Black tie dinner party. Nor is that what I or anyone should expect for the price point. No, the design is probably not hand painted, and it is probably a decal, but it's nice and has the essence of being hand painted. They are nice and elegant looking and perfect for hosting a family Christmas dinner. The packaging is came in is terrible though. It smelled terrible!!! The foam stuff the glasses were wrapped in had a yellow tinge and smells like a combination of old garbage, rotten Bananas and garlic. I know weird combo. It almost made me throw up. I'm going to was the glasses a few times before use.

These are very pretty and nice Christmas wine glasses. I wanted some for a party I was having, but also just to have for the holidays. I did knock off one star because one of the glasses is not as wide at the top opening as the others, and that bothers me. But I only noticed it after I had already used them.
