I'm not a vegan. I'm not even a vegetarian. I do, however, both have high blood pressure and dislike (most) doctors. I use these to add some unami to my savory dishes instead of sodium chloride. I do from time to time eat cheese and would not compare the flavor to cheese. It's more reminiscent of fresh baked bread. I've tried other brands, and consider Anthony's to be high quality. The value is amazing, and the resealable bag is heavy duty (perfect for a drawer in the fridge). When I hit my reorder point, I'll purchase this again from Anthony's.

This stuff is really good and can be used on almost anything. I put it on my popcorn, avocado toast, macaroni and cheese, and much more. It tastes really good on almost anything savory. Because I go through so much of this stuff, this package is great. However, it is a lot of yeast, pretty much costco sized if you don't want that much.

We can't eat popcorn with Nutritional Yeast anymore and this bag has been awesome. Cheaper than our local store and tastes the same. Bought two bags this year and satisfied with both.

Bought as a shredded cheese substitute and couldn't be happier. I really like the flavor and versatility. Bought a shaker and put it on all kinds of foods. Nutritional values of it are just a plus.

I've been buying this brand for several years, and normally it's a solid five stars. From the looks of recent reviews, I'm not the only one who got a bad batch this time around (lot AZ29022, anyone?). As another reviewer said, it has a weird metallic taste.Still giving it five stars because Anthony's has been consistently good up until now. Hopefully this is just a fluke and the next batch will be back to awesome.

Believe it or not, I originally bought this nutritional yeast to add to food for wild ducklings to give them the Niacin and B vitamins they need for healthy growth. The recipe I used was simply a table spoon of this nutrional yeast per 1 cup of cooked steel cut oats. Once I tasted this combo for myself, it was soooo delicious, I now have this duckling recipe for breakfast every morning! Although, I do add a bit more of the yeast because I love the flavor. It's supposed to have a cheesy taste to it, and I guess it sort of does, but I find it to have an indescrible taste, a kind of subtle richness to it that enhances the flavor of whatever savory foods I add it to (I haven't been inclined to try it on desserts). I even occasionally sprinkly a tiny amount on my cat's food when they're being finicky, and they both love it, too! I'm hooked on this nutritional yeast!

Bought this before with no issues. Always tasted great. This time, not so good. While the package has a 12/23 expiration date, there is a very odd flavor making me think it's rancid. Was not exposed to heat or moisture in my home. Had to throw entire bag out. Waste of money and will not purchase again.
