There should be a guide instruction sheet with pictures as it is very, very difficult to install.Otherwise, it works well for my application of a very light door.

Seems like poor door installation, bulky spring and other extraneous gripes overlook the ease and functionality of this product!!!We have brass hinges on all our doorsthe brushed brass is lighter but not distracting.so.who cares.The door when opened a 1/5 of the way closes but does not latch. Since the purpose is the seal the air conditioning upstairs in lieu of flowing into the basementwho cares. BTW opening the door 1/4 or more yields full closure and latching.Had to use 2 (bought 3) so the closers worked better than I estimated.Again so what is the problem.I expect the latches to lose a bit of closing power as the frame contact depress the frame wood. Will fill with white wood putty (which dries hard as a rock) and voila..not a problem.Have used these decades ago for years. Easy to replace, easy to install (if your door is installed properly) and compensates very well for inhabitants a door closing phobia.

I've used these before and they work great of you have a dot that you want to close after it's been opened. I installed this on my grandson's door as he want to Keep their dogs out of his room when he walked in or out. It works well!!

Product works correctly, I just question the capabilities of the weight of doors that it can close. Not what I wanted for my entry door but I was able to use it on an interior door

Daughter leaves the basement door open all the time, throws the electric heat on $$$. This was 2 min install and closes the basement door completely. Best Buy ever! just wish I knew about it sooner.

Door closes for sure but not with enough oomph to latch. Well, take what you can get. I have 3 or 4 of these type closets in my house. This one is a little different in installation.

I used these in combination with Budding Sprout Durable Door Pinch Guards so the door shuts but only as far as the door guards allow.

I ordered one to close a closet door linked to the bathroom to ensure moister doesn't get into clothes. 1 works to shut the door toward the frame but not close it past the latch. Might take 3, one on each door hinge to totally shut door. Installed easy, pull old pin, and replace with this one, adjust, and done.

I've had mine for like 2 years took less than 5 min to install and has never failed I don't notice it on The door hinge so that's a . I did make a door stopper because an always closed door sucks but easy solution

But it does what it's supposed to. And it's reversible! You can take it off when you want. No drilling or anything that would damage the door. Pretty neat idea. Just looks a little strange.

Installed in 10 minutes after finding video instructions on You Tube. It seemed to lose tension once after making a noise. I then retightened the spring with the provided tool and once again I have a nice self closing door. Don't loose the tool.

This helps on a door people like to leave open. adjust carefully. all it is is a spring. not a controlled pneumatic or hydraulic closer like we are all use to. to much tension and it will take off fingers.

The only issue I found was that one closer was not enough to close a hollow core (light interior) door. Well it was just nearly closed, but would not latch the door. These should be sold in packs of 2 3
