Mission: The mission of Lifestyles for the Disabled is to provide quality learning experiences that will enable all consumers regardless of their present disabilities to become productive members of society and live their lives with dignity and as independently as possible.

Programs: At Lifestyles, our programs strive to enrich the lives of developmentally disabled adults by helping them access needed services, achieve fulfillment through positive work experiences, and enjoy life through travel and entertainment opportunities. Lifestyles is committed to supporting the development and implementation of programs which will enable each participant to reach their quality of life goals. Community inclusion is the hallmark of the Lifestyles experience. Our goal is to promote individuality and productivity in the participant’s daily life. Lifestyles achieves these goals through innovative programming, a highly professional staff, dedicated family involvement and strong community relationships. At Lifestyles, our focus is on the individual, their abilities and their independence!Lifestyles Day Habilitation program participants engage in services based on their individualized needs, preferences and goals. Personalized activities and supports enable the participant to live, work, socialize and participate in the community. Lifestyles Day Habilitation services are provided at two main sites, the Willowbrook campus and at the Lifestyles Educational Center (LEC), as well as, numerous other locations including the SI Zoo, Coral Island Shopping Plaza, Staten Island Tech HS, to name a few. Participants work in groups to maintain grounds, gardens, and neighborhood spaces, clean churches, offices, and provide services to help seniors. Lifestyles Day Habilitation program offers a diverse creative arts program. Participants create beautiful handcrafted items, among them are: jewelry, artwork, wreaths, note cards and crocheted items. Participants in the music program learn to sing, drum and increase their knowledge of music. A dance program offers movement and dance technique.
