Although it stated this would work with my 98 5.7L Vortec 350, the three puller bolts were the wrong size, so was not able to use it.

I gave this thing no gentle handling other than: I lubed the threads before applying load. I've always done this with pullers.I then got everything into position and figured I'd take one for the team - I applied a high powered rattle wrench to the tool to pull the damper. I figured, if this doesn't strip the threads, then (if lubed) they're probably pretty tough. No problem.I own a lot of Lisle specialty tools so I'm glad to report this one worked great for me.BTW, mine came with all 3 washers; it was not shorted by one as some have reported. So maybe that packaging snag has been corrected?

I have a 96 Bonneville with the 3800 series II supercharged. Using this tool was very simple, easy and helped me pull out the balancer without damaging anything.Instructions was simple to read and follow also.

Fit well on harmonic balancer, Bolts were right size and correct pitch - Worked well. If it had come with a case I would have given it 5 stars.

Was missing a washer. Seemed more like a knock off brand in a generic box. But it did do the job.

I finally got around to using this on my 1992 Oldsmobile 88. The bolts screwed right into the balancer. Having the long spacer to fit down into the crankshaft for the jack bolt was great. Did not have to worry about damaging the threads on the shaft. The harmonic balancer did not want to move at first but with steady pressure it soon came free. Glad I had to tool to remove the harmonic balancer, because it made the job so much easier.
