I have a 65 Chevy C10 I'm rebuilding and am putting in new rear window glass. I futzed around with the chrome sealer strip for a couple of hours trying to get it in with screwdrivers and plastic knives to zero success.Bought this tool and had it completely done in less than an hour, and I got better as the minutes ticked by. Absolutely worth what it cost even if I never use it again!

Popped the window out of my track loader, backing in the woods into a branched. Had a hell of a time trying to work it in using screw drivers, lube and putty knife. Got it in about a third of the way and my neighbor stopped ny and said he saw a window guy use a tool and went right in within minutes. We looked on line and he said this was it. Ordered it and it put the trim in within a few minutes. WOW what a time saver. Worth every penny, especially because I didn't break the window by accident! If I never use it again it was worth it.

Watched the glass guy struggle with a pick. This thing installs lock strip like a zipper. The ability to change the angle of the tip is great too.

This makes the job of replacing windshield (and rear window) locking strips much easier. It's still a significant chore, but this tool makes it SO much easier than trying to accomplish the task using screwdrivers and other ordinary tools. Highly recommended!!!

I tried to install thrblocking gasket without this and it's very difficult. With the tool it's much easier. It's absolutely worth it.

I've been selling classic cars for 24 years now and have lots of vehicles that have chrome moldings and lock strips in the windshield. On my own tow rig, a 1992 Dodge pickup, we needed to have the windshield replaced, and the new gasket was so tight that my glass guy and his helper spent over an hour to get it installed. Asked about the plasticky chrome strip, he mentioned there's no way to do this. Zero, nada, nilch.So I bought this tool, and installed the molding myself. Was it easy, no, but it wasn't impossible either. I had never done that before, but that tool allowed me to get the job done.Highly recommended. Just make sure you use the best-fitting of the 4 openings.

Used this to install the lock strip on my 1988 Dodge pickup. I used window cleaner to lubricate the gasket and lock strip and, with a little bit of wiggling and elbow grease, got the strip in pretty easily. Recommended.
