While you don't need this tool to install the lock trim on windshields, it will save you hours of poking the trim in with a plastic screwdriver. Get it, even if you only need it once in your life.

Don't fight with the wedge piece! Literally took me longer to open the package than to install the wedge piece into the windshield.

I bought this to install the windshield in my 73 scout II and made my life a lot easier. Having installed windshields with and without this tool, I'll never do another one without it.

The window install would have been a pain in the butt without this thing. Made the locking strip go in very easily

I used this to install the rubber locking ring that came with the gasket for the front windshield of my International Scout. I was skeptical at first thinking this tool will cut into the rubber but it didn't. Worked great.

I've been in the Glass industry for 27 years. One thing I've learned is there's not a tool for everything. I've had to make my own tools. Modify other tools and even own parents on two different tools. So I'm always hig

Something to know before buying one. These are a bit funky until you know how to use it. I had to modify mine to keep it from scarring up the trim i was installing. my suggestion is to buy the tool that fits trim for that trim only....do not buy a multiple trim universal tool with 2 sided trim entry holes. The product and design was fine but installing with a double sided type tool did more harm then help...once i altered it by flattening the opposite side/ bend then i was using, the tool worked amazing...

Must-have tool when installing auto glass with bead-style window gaskets, even if you use it only once.

I have tried other tools to install the window lock strips but they generally don't work very well. This one is not perfect but does make the installation of these lock strips a lot easier.

I drive a military K5 blazer, and thanks to mr hail storm, lost the windshield, and side glassThis little beauty makes installing the glass pretty easy, put the NEW (dont even try to reused the rubber), weather-stripping in, get it seated right, set the auto glass in, and use this to open up the channel the lock strip fits in, you pul it along, and it opens up the channel, inserts the lock strip. Be sure to use some lube, soap, silicone to keep things slippery, and have a helper hold the glass to be sure it doens't slip and shatter accidentally.Took all of 5 minutes per side to install the glass, and we had never done it before. TAKE YOUR TIME AND DONT FORCE THINGS, and youll have no problems.Works for any car that has the lock strip type weatherstripping, old gm trucks/blazers, ford/etc (diff blades for different manufacturers)

I watched a couple videos of folks doing the very same windshield install that I needed to do. I did not think that I would need to buy this tool. I found out the hard way that I should - once I started pushing it along it was so smooth that I thought I should kick myself for not getting it sooner - try it and you will be a believer too!

The handle curves are odd. But when up schitts creek without a paddle, this gets the job done fast and correctly. Can't beat the price and it works well on heavy equipment. 10/10 you would beat your friends at installing windows with this tool.

These are what you need for installing glass in an early Willys Jeep. I've done it the hard way!You can see how tough it is to install without this tool. Fast Dad Garage, YouTube.
