These tap holder sockets make tapping holes much more convenient as one can use many different tools to rotate a tap, allowing better access to tap holes in a constricted area, or just making it easier to turn the tap other than a crossbar type of tap handle. They also hold the tap securely so it doesn't fall from the tool. They are very durable, too. I've has a set of these for many, many years and have found them to be durable with no loss of performance over time.

I've used four out of the eight sockets, they all fit the tap perfectly and held them securely for use. They did the job I was expecting them to do. Nice rubber holder should hopefully last few years before it cracks. They should do a little better job with the photos, kind of left me guessing and hoping for the best when I ordered, but everything turned out good.

I am a tool fanatic with a huge collection of tools of all sorts, this might be the best accessory for a tool(tap and die set) I have ever purchased. If you plan on using a tap more then just once or twice or plan on taping anything large in thick steel this is a necessity, after you use it you will thank me for this review. I am receiving NO compensation For this review, I am not connected with this company in any way, this set has just saved me tons of time and much cussing from taps slipping and breaking/rounding out Standerd T handle tap holders. And I'd like to save others form that frustration too.

These are tap sockets they work perfect they get the tap deep inside the socket and they are built just for a tap no 8 sided socket stuff they are square on the inside works great

If you do a lot of threading or chasing old threads with taps, these are a must have. Very handy, especially if a large tap handle will get in the way, like when working on a car or tight space.
