This is a really good wrench for the tool box.We used it to remove stubborn water filter canisters, especially the large ones. You do need a 1/2” drive socket wrench and extension if you don't have one. It was so handy I gave one to our local plumber, he had never seen one. He gladly took it.

I used this strap wrench as a last resort to remove a stuck water filter housing. The plastic wrench that came with the water filter was flimsy and about the break, but the strap wrench did the job. It really puts the torque to large stuck items.

LOVE this thing I bought it for honestly just about any filter and so far it has been delivering, I bought the cheap ones from o Reilly and auto zone, and they always tend to rip, buy this one is quality, too bad they stole mine haha

This gadget is great, everything that is on too tight - this will get loose. I used it for big blue water filters and a sediment filter that just won't budge. Attached this securely, applied a little steady pressure and this saved the day.

If you come to this point in reading reviews most likely your needing a solution to a stuck water filter. So let me save you futher delay in solving this issue after trying everything elseTHIS WORKS !This filter strap has such a low point of center of gravity that when you use it according to instructions it will unlock your stuck water filter. I did use a pipe extension over the end of the ratchet handle for leverage due to my age. Nevertheless it saved me the expense of calling a plumber.

I have not had any issue using this on Cummins oil filters and then some. Sometimes the simplest tool is the best for the job.
