Mission: Lbfe is a national network of non-profit volunteer-based organizations committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. We offer to people of goodwill the opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and celebration of life.

Programs: Visiting and advocacy, lbfe's core program: 145 elders living in their own homes who identified as isolated and lonely received visits, phone calls and advocacy on an ongoing basis. 2.Friendship and flowers program: volunteers provided monthly visits and deliveries of treats and flowers to 131 nursing home residents who lacked family connection. 3.Lbfe hosted 41 social events (birthday parties, bingo, holiday meals, etc. ) for isolated elders. Cross-program accomplishments: 4,106 in-person visits, 1,655 phone visits, and 2,654 nutritious meals. Services were supported by 618 active volunteers providing 9,983 service hours.
