For anyone doing steam fittings this is great stuff. We have been putting in a low-pressure steam boiler with a significant amount of piping and have found Locktite 567 to be excellent, good enough that we have purchased another 350ml can.

Throw out the teflon tape... This stuff is the best, and always has been. You get what you pay for... no leaks!

I had a sink in which both hot and cold brass connections to the taps were leaking. I tried different solutions for several months. Teflon tape, polyurethane sealant, pfte dope (white and yellow).. etc. they all leaked. Clearly the connectors were not threaded correctly. Anyway, I got this loctite sealant, and applied/spread generously on the threades. Then I tighted the couplers with 2 wrenches. Finally after 24 hours of cure time I reconnected the water and checked for leaks. Nothing. All super dry. Perfect. From now on I will consider this product also in many other applications.

Use on all npt or any threaded fuel fittings. Don't use on an or flared connections.

Used for Transfer case Fill and Drain Plugs. I would recommend going with a faster drying version, this one really took about 2 days to cure. Depending upon atmospheric conditions of course. Mine was 40F.
