I had previously tried to seal a 1 inch brass npt fitting with teflon tape but could not stop a slow drip leak. I removed the tape and applied this sealant to the threads and let it cure for an hour. The leak completely stopped. This stuff really works. It is expensive for a small tube, but worth every penny. The fittings were for water at 125 psi pressure. The 6 ml tube has enough material to seal at least 6 or 8 1 inch fittings, mayber more.
