I only purchased as the factory manual says it is required when reassembling certain components. Considering I'm working on a 40 year old car, the fact that it did not leak after using this product is proof that it works as indented for the specific applicationI can't comment on general useMy only negative e comment is the packaging. The plastic tube is quite stiff, and squeezing it to get the correct amount out was challenging.
