I'll probably never use teflon tape again after using this so much cleaner and nicer looking especially for a lowrider setup where everything needs to look clean. Thanks to Hoppo's hydraulics for letting me know about this! Thanks alex!

As with all of Loctite's sealers and thread lockers this product is ANAEROBIC CURING. That means that is cures in the absence of air/oxygen. If the bottle was filled to the top it would be a solid hard useless lump by the time it was delivered to the customer. The bottle is filled to the correct amount when it is less than half full. Same with any liquid that oozes out of a connection. The sealer that is not exposed to air CURES. That which squeezes out eventually DRIES OUT (not the same as curing) but it has no sealing power.

I have no idea if this is better than the cheaper alternative, but considering the hassle of failure, why take chances. Do the job once. It worked.

These are small sample size containers so don't expect to get more than a couple uses out if. It does include a removable cap but there just isn't much product here. They are great to keep in a small toolbox or pouch for emergency uses where you don't have to worry about the larger bottles leaking. Purple is the low strength but great for small screws and typically recommended in those applications where they screws are easy to strip.

Loctite 545 is so incredibly better than Teflon tape. There's just no comparison... tape is tedious to apply and only works some of the time while 545 works to seal every time.

Followed instructions to the letter and let it cure for 24 hours .......fitting on the compressor still leaks air.
