This press does a really good job pressing down burgers and anything else that you would want to while cooking on a griddle or cast iron pan.I would recommend cleaning after using, so the grease doesn't build up.Also, adding your own seasoning may help as well, but it's not needed.

Like my rectangular bacon presses, I still have to move this one around in my skillet, but I'm less worried about it scratching my ceramic coated pans, since there are no corners. Lodge cast iron cookware is a reliable brand, made in the USA, and I should never have to replace it I have a Lodge skillet I inherited 27 years ago--no telling how old it is. I use it often, and it's still in great condition.

95 love it, but it should really come with lock washers for the handle, IMO. Tough to tighten the handle nuts down in the first place (just a little awkward to hold the one site while turning the other), but extra tough once it gets a little greasy. So to have to do it every couple weeks or so is a little inconvenient. Going to look for lock washers or similar next time I'm at the hardware store.

Love this! Smash burgers made easier. I worried about the handle becoming too hot but I didn't leave it but just a few seconds on each burger. I could see it potentially burning someone if they left it on the griddle.

This very well made, and made right here in the USA. It is nice that it comes pre-seasoned and is easy to clean up after use. I have used it to make the latest craze in burgers - the Smashburger. It retains heat very well and is well worth the money.

Some reviewers have described difficulty with assembly. A broad tipped screwdriver and a 3/8 inch open socket wrench made quick work of putting this together. The weight is perfect. Size fits my needs. Pre-seasoned is a nice bonus. Also looks good parked on the stove. Home run.

Should have bought one of these a long time ago. Press is very easy to clean and very easy to season (and since it is Lodge it's a well known brand of quality). When receiving product make sure you read the instructions and use all the washers and bolts in there or the handle won't stay in place properly.
