I made smash burgers with the Lodge burger press tonight. Everyone raved about them. They were juicy with a crispy crust, and tasty. The press made them incredibly easy to make. Just add salt, pepper, and personal favorite spices, roll into a four ounce ball, flatten under the Lodge burger press, drop onto a hot, dry skillet or grill top (I used the Lodge seventeen inch cast iron skillet), grill for about four minutes (until you get a juicy reddish color on top), flip (add cheese), two or three minutes and assemble. Easy, and makes a great burger. I wish I had tried it sooner. Trust me...try it!
