This lid fits perfectly. It's good and heavy and I use it often. Well worth the price especially since I stopped using aluminum foil. I mostly use it in the oven to braise a roast. I like that it has bumps to spread the moisture evenly. Makes a difference with a large piece of meat, it doesn't dry out nor do the potatoes and carrots and onions. I'm glad I bought it.

Fits the Lodge 12 in skillet perfectly, makes it even more versatile. Love how this design is solid cast iron, with nothing on the handle, so you can put it in the oven just like your skillet. I had my skillet for 20 years before I decided to invest in a purpose-built lid with basting tips, I can't believe I waited so long, it is such a game changer!

Somehow I've been finding recipes that call for a cast iron skillet. I have one, but rarely used it because I didn't like cleaning it. Well, I have gotten used to cleaning it so now I use it more often. Some recipes call for you to put a lid on the skillet and put it in the oven. I was using aluminum foil which is wasteful and doesn't really do the job. Ordered this lid and I'm good to go. Probably should get one for my daughters for their own Lodge skillet.

Very happy with the quality of this lid. I bought this for outdoor cooking on the eco zoom stove. Lid wil trap heat making cook time 25-30 more quicker and less fuel, while keeping bugs and crap out of my food.Will buy more lodge items. Most Likely a dutch oven. Well made stuff that last.

I received a 12 Lodge Wildlife Series Skillet with a Bear molded into the bottom of the pan. I prefer doing most of my cooking with a lid to control splatter. thrilled this fit and it works great.

Cannot believe how well this product works as advertised. When cooking on stove top, no boil overs and meats stay nice and moist by the self basting bumps on the underside. In the oven baking, it works just as well.

I'm in love with these 8-inch cast-iron skillets. I don't have a family, so they are perfect for one or two people. I especially love them for making corn bread. The handles are convenient and they easily fit into a counter-top oven. When I saw they also came with lids, I did not hesitate! Great for a braise on top of the stove. Sometimes, I make an extra recipe for neighbors ... now I can put a lit on it ... also use them for other 8-inch pots/pans ...
