Hi there.I JUST got this and plugged it in a wee bit before writing this.I selected this due to the Logitech brand (love the webcams) and price.Price was a big factor since this was an unexpected purchase due to mouse malfunction.My mouse I had been using a few years had the scroll roller stop functioning, it was lagging, weighty- apparently it was since I have this mouse to compare now.It feels light, VERY responsive and zips around super fast. Scroll roller works great.I have to adjust because it is so fast, compared to performance of the old one.I didn't even turn computer off or restart.Just unplugged old one, plugged new one in and good to go.So far in the few minutes, it feels good. Works well.Rating:I am happy with it.Ergonomic and Comfort still adapting, as it is shaped a tiny bit different than one I was using and I have developed bad hand positioning over the years.I am not a gamer, so leaving that blank.

It is definitely a functioning mouse. When you move it, the cursor moves. The USB plug definitely goes into a USB port. The cord is attached on both ends. My computer recognizes when I click the buttons.

This mouse is typical for use as hard wire, nothing fancy. That's all I needed was for it to work normal and it did.

I had a wireless mouse by Logitech (my 2nd) and it stopped working even after changing batteries. The wireless mouses are disposable after 2 years. I keep a corded mouse on hand as backup. Always a logitech.
