Mission: Our mission: to preserve our communitys sense of place by protecting its natural, cultural, and open space resources in perpetuity. Our vision: a landscape anchored by our communitys natural and historical traditions, existing in balanced harmony with a growing human presence.

Programs: Lcbt has secured 43 conservation easements on 35 sites as of december 31,2017.Currently, there are 31,481.03 acres of land under conservation easement and 80 acres owned at fort fair lawn. Lcbt operates a conservation education program that teaches an average of 2,000 individuals each year. Lcbt hosts numerous environmental and conservation meetings, workshops, and forums. Lcbt recently published a fourth edition of the book entitled "a day on cooper river" by john heaufain irving which was originally published in 1942.
