One of the few mesh headrests available that is truly breathable and matches Herman miller chair. Good quality build and comfortable to rest on. However, doesn't really work well if your chair back is curved like with a HumanScale chair you need to really lean backwards to even touch the headrest. If you're willing to drill holes into your chair this is good to go, otherwise as everyone else mentions, get some C clamps; this would be five stairs if the base was truly universal mount and not just drill a hole into your chair to make it stay.

I am not sure why everyone recommends the c-clamps for the herman-miller aeron chair. It does not fit well and slips off the chair very easily. I ended up removing it completely because it would keep falling off. I know that this was not the intended purpose of this headrest, so I only am giving removing 1 star, but still, it is the primary recommended headrest for the aeron.

I bought an Office Star High Back Breathable ProGrid Back and Seat Adjustable Black Managers Chair for which I couldn't find a headrest for. This comes with all the tools and fits the chair. It has a 3.5 distance between the center of the screws (screws and tool included) so it was able to be attached pretty easily.

There were no reviews for the same need as I had so wasnt sure what I would think. I have an outdoor glider but you cannot rest your head if you'd like to relax with your head back for a while. This works great! We bolted it to the back and the head rest rotates ergonomically up and down as well as being able to slide it up or down the bar. We leave it on the bar in one spot. Everyone is impressed and now they try to sit in that seat. It matches my glider (looks like it came on it) and should last outside since it is under a covered porch.

Not sure how I went so long without neck support on my office chair. Definitely something I will be considering moving forward because of this thing. Works extremely well and lets me enjoy my chair a lot more than I was able to before.

Purchased this to mod onto a chair without any head rest support. Works well, only complaint is that it wiggles side to side more than I would like.A note to anyone else using this headrest in a similar way: the base is intended to sit flush with the back of the chair/flat surface. If the base doesn't make contact, the height adjustment will adjust far too easily. I solved this with a guitar capo lol

Received it today and the headrest slides up and down. Tried tightening bolts - not working. This product is disappointing.

It comes with 2x M6-1.0x25mm socket head cap screws. I think these will work for a steelcase Leap V1 and maybe a leap V2 but I ended up purchasing and using 20mm long screws instead. I also purchased M6-1.0 nuts and washers from the hardware store to fasten the headrest to the inside of the back plate. I drilled 2x 7/32 holes which are slightly smaller than the screws so they threaded into the plastic backplate giving the screws a snug fit into the backplate. The holes are about 2.75 down from the top of the backplate. However, it's the nuts and washers that are the primary holding mechanism. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to get the foam backing back on with the nuts in the inside of the backplate but had no problem at all. I was also concerned I would feel the nuts through the foam but I can't feel them either. So a good purchase overall. It will definitely give some much needed neck support if you're experiencing neck pain like I was.

I was able to install this in 15 minutes on my Steelcase Leap. Would have been quicker but I wanted to be very careful about measuring before drilling holes in the back of an expensive chair. Use a 3/16 drill bit (the bolts are 1/4. That leaves a little bit of room for the bolt threads to bite into the plastic. Drill carefully, you just want to punch through the plastic on the back. The bolts are a little hesitant to go in at first, just apply firm pressure as you drive them in with the allen wrench. The plastic is soft enough that they'll bite in.I can already tell this is going to make a huge difference in my chair posture, which has been causing me a lot of neck and back pain. I basically had no frame of reference for where to hold my head before, so I was probably doing the typical desk hunch posture.

Lorell headrest $24, two (2) camvate c-clamp $24, total cost under $50; extra comfort priceless. Everything screwed on easily, and headrest position was just right for me. I am very happy with the outcome!!

I recently purchased a used mid-back Steelcase Leap v2 after using a generic high-back chair for more than 15 years. While I really like the Leap, I found my neck getting very sore after several hours. This inexpensive headrest was the answer. I just followed the youtube video titled Steelcase Leap V2 Headrest Installation with maybe $5 of nuts and washers from the hardware store. No more neck pain!

I was able to mount this to my chair by 3D printing plastic clips to hold the headrest. The end result is a fairly comfortable headrest which didn't break the bank. I'm happy with it overall, but the mesh is not as nice as the stretchy plastic mesh on my chair -- it feels a little saggy if I run my hand over the mesh.

I purchased this item because a reviewer said it fit his Work pro quantum 9000 chair. Well, it doesn't. I had to add a metal bar to make the headrest stay in place. I decided not to return it because we found a way to make it work and the price was reasonable.

I bought this for my herman miller chair. I suggest buying some clamps (3 total= 2 same 1 diff: see photos). The original headrest for the chair is too expensive for me. This works fine this little bit of work arounds. This headrest solved my problem!

For those people who wish to add a head rest to their office chairs, this is a reasonably inexpensive and convenient solution. The problem is that the adjustable height of the head rest does not stay in place. There is no locking mechanism so the head rest will always eventually slide back down to its original position. It's very annoying and makes the entire design questionable. The user will need to reset the headrest each sitting.

I know this is made for a specific chair, but due to the way it attaches via 1/4 bolts, it really does make it the perfect DIY headrest addition if you can find the right c-clamps with 1/4 holes to fit the top of your chair. For the price, it offers great comfort and adjustability. The only missing adjustment is a back/forward adjustment, but the tilt makes up for that and it's ability to attach via clamp allows some adjustment on that front. Overall, I'm not going to dock it for that since it's $20.If you're struggling with an office chair that doesn't have a 1st party headrest option, definitely consider buying this with fitting clamps. Does the job perfectly.

I really like this head rest. It looks and feels great.DISCLAIMER: I have a Workpro Quantum 9000 and this is NOT compatible with it out of the box. HOWEVER, as one other reviewer/QA person said, it only takes a couple of holes drilled into the chair and your own screws (not the ones included) to make this fit perfectly and securely. I used pointed-tip screws so that I could use a screwdriver, also ones with wide threading, because I figured it would be a stronger hold. For anyone interested in how I did it, read below. To install on a Workpro Quantum 9000:1. REMOVE placeholder part from back of chair (unscrew middle and pinch/remove two fasteners) - this head rest's neck will fit precisely into this hole2. PLACE the headrest mount against the chair's upper frame (with neck in hole) and MARK where to drill3. DRILL pilot holes (make sure it's not bigger than the screw), being sure not to break through to the other side4. REPLACE mount and HAND-TIGHTEN into chair (probably safer and should be easy enough for most people)5. ENJOY
