My wife and I have a project to connect Early Hallmark Star Trek ornaments to a current garland with incandescent lights. The original design of the ornaments was meant to plug them into an incandescent socket on a string of lights. The lights available today are not compatible with the ornament connecters.The first problem was finding a string of lights that burned incandescent bulbs at 3volts alternating current. We found a garland at Walmart that met that criteria.I bought these male to female connecters to be able to connect and disconnect the ornaments from the garland. My wife easily connected the male component to the ornament by bending the metal pieces in the socket and removing the plastic casing. She then shrink-wrapped the wire closest to the socket head, bent the wires 90 degrees, and screwed them into the male component.Meanwhile, I worked on the garland lights, which were wound very tight around the garland wire. This turned out to be a slow task to mate the female end to the garland. Once the job was completed, the female attached very nicely to the male component, and the ornament worked well.

Will short barrel pin due to lack of adequate insulating shroud when inserting. Connect and disconnect de-energized! Was kinda loose on one, not for critical applications!!

All ten in the pack were in good condition. Haven't had an issue with these yet, have been using them for a project I'm working on.

I decided to use these adapters to provide power to my wireless cameras via a parallel daisy chain configuration. The only caveats here are 1) waterproofing your connections when using them outdoors 2) selecting the correct gauge wire for the number of devices in the daisy chain, and 3) connecting the correct wattage power supply to the main feeder connection. I purchased these adapters to test my soldering connection before installing my strip lights in my shower niche. These adapters are very easy to use. All you have to do is connect your wires to the positive and negative sides and use a small screwdriver to tighten the connections. These adapters are a great buy. This adapter allowed me to connect my strip lights to my 12 volt power supply.

It's great . I use it for extended my power supply for my security camera system.

So this connector set is awesome! Does exactly what I wanted. The quality of these is pretty darn good. Great price too!

I repurposed a worn out 16 awg stranded extension cord into a dc barrel jack extension cable and it works great. the two screws can be tightened to bite down on the wires for a strong connection. I also made a short cable for a 12v dc load tester to test the connector and hit the circuitry wattage limit. these connectors did 9 amps or around 100 watts continuous. A box has 10 pairs 10 male 10 female. just remember to get the negative/positive polarity correct or check with a dc multi meter.
