Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: Our mission is to assist homeless, neglected, injured and abused animals by providing shelter, medical care, love and ultimately a forever family of their own. In efforts to reduce animal suffering, METTA will encourage, educate, and support the public on proper animal welfare.

Target demographics: Homeless, neglected, and abused canines throughout our community.

Geographic areas served: Central Florida ~ Orange, Lake, Seminole, & Volusia Counties

Programs: In an effort to reduce the homeless, neglected, injured, and abused canine population in the central FL area, we offer the METTA Community Outreach Program and Friends of METTA Program. METTA's Community Outreach Program strives to assist dogs whose owners have fallen on hard times so they can receive the medical attention, prevention, nutrition, comfort, and stability they deserve. While The Friends of METTA Program offers resources and support to those families who feel they have no other option but to re-home their beloved pet. Our goal is to keep these pets in their home or as a last resort, ensure the current owners are equipped with the knowledge and tools to safely re-home their pet.
