Although the crimps are not perfect, this tool worked great for custom spark plug wires. Opt for pliers if you make wires for a living (and do not have a bench vise) but for limited use (and the great price), this was an excellent alternative.

I purchased this MSD 3503 Mini Stripper Crimper to build two 8 mm spark plug wires for my motorcycle. The device was easy to use and provided great crimps on the very first try. I am very happy with the results, especially considering the price of the device. However, if I had a large number of spark plug wires to make up or had to build multiple sets, I would definitely spend the $100 plus for the professional crimpers. Otherwise, this small tool works just fine and will always have a place in my tool box!

This device worked really well for 8mm wire, but too big for 7mm. Know what you need.

Nice crimps for a low investment. Curious to see how many crimps it can do before it no longer crimps correctly.

Small item. I used it to crimp 9 times. Easy to use. Worked exactly how I needed it to work. I'll be able to use it again.

I guess this is an even trade 10 cents worth of plastic for $10, I thought this was made of metal, no where did it say this was plastic. Heck, even aluminum would have been an improvement, not going to bother sending it back, as long as it doesnt break, Plastic people, Oh baby, now your such a drag, ( Frank Zappa ) LOL

For the dual crimp you have to use pliers. MSD terminals are the only ones I have seen that use dual crimp. But it will crimp other terminals. These used to be aluminum included with the universal wire kits but I think they figured out that the aluminum distorts and stays distorted.I have dual crimp pliers now but still like to have this tool for easy measuring and cutting of dual and single crimp.
