Very heavy duty rubber,which seems like it will hold up, but I'll let you know next year after it's been outside. Spikes for the ground could be a little longer which would help.

Works well, and allows any patch of grass to be used as pitchers mount. The stakes are long enough to allow the pitcher to push off. I'm happy with purchase. Another parent even asked where I purchased it, since he was so impressed with it and wanted one for his daughter. For the price, it can't be beat.

Bought this pitching rubber for my daughter. She prefers pitching off the rubber instead of flat dirt. She gets the real push off she needs. After reviewing a few other models I decided to go with this one because of the spikes mounting location. They mount on the sides instead of from the bottom. Go with this version because the bottom mount spikes end up coming through the pitching rubber after a few uses. The four included spikes are solid and should be able to dig into most dirt and grass easily. The pitching rubber itself is heavy and durable rubber no signs of wear yet. Looks solid. Price was right and doing the job it was meant for.

Built my own mound out of PT wood for my 9yr old son and the spike holes on the end allow for nuts, washers and bolts to securely fasten to the wood.

Bought this for my daughter who is trying to becoome an accomplished pitcher. We use it to be aboe to throw anywhere we can get a flat 40-43'. The spikes are heavy steel and provide ample securing to the ground. However, the mound is starting to chew up on the edges and flake away and it hasn't been used 'heavy'. I noticed that the Youth mound we bought a year ago that was used heavy last year and is mounted to a 'takeoff' mat is still going strong.

My local baseball league uses youth temporary rubbers for 7-8 and 9-10 leagues. Thought I was buying the same size but this is about twice as big and extremely heavy. Way too heavy to continually bring to practices, etc. I returned it and got the smaller one which is the size I needed and is much easier to throw in the equipment bag.

Awesome, used on a portable pitchers mound I built from scratch! Works perfectly. Also purchased a home plate with black edge, these two items have finished off our batting cage very nicely!
