This fall, my son is serving as the assistant coach to his twins' first baseball league team. When they're at bat, he's busy herding cats, as the 5 and 6 year olds still need a lot of assistance to position themselves at the plate, hold the bat properly, etc. Each team's coach pitches to their own team, with the assistant coach serving as catcher.I noticed at their first game that one issue for the kids is simply seeing the plate, so I purchased this plate brush for him. My son says it really works, is sturdy, and makes one part of his job a lot faster and easier; he's no longer having to kick dirt off home plate for each at bat! A in our play book!!!

These umpire brushes are great for cleaning out window tracks and sliding door tracks and any other grooved area catching dirt. All that junk that accumulates can be bruise away with little effort an no mess. Easier than the hand vac I used to use and not as sloppy as a bucket of soapy water and a rag.

Perfect size, fits in the pocket of the ball bag no problem. Made well great price. I mean it's a plate brush so functionality is very simple and self explanatory

my husband, the 20 year umpire has had many plate brushes and this is the best one that he's used. the wood handle has a better feel and the brushes do what they're supposed to do. highly recommended.

Believe it or not but I use this in my hobby of cleaning old tomb stones. The bristles are stiff enuff and safe to be used with cleaning chemicals water etc. nice and handy!
