We use these for our indoor training. They are soft enough to use indoors but have a similar feel to a regular ball. We use them when throwing and with field work. We still use the regular softballs for hitting drills in the cage and with nets.

They have worked out really well. Great when practicing in an indoor space. The girls prefer the Jugs Softies when they are pitching.

Great practice ball. Weighted perfectly to simulate a game ball but with a soft shell making them ideal for indoor practice.

These are great for practice with the youngsters. It softens the blow if the ball hits them. This gets softer the more you use it.

Our league uses these for 6U so I use the same ones for practice. Some get softer as they break in, and others seem to harden up. Can get a little bouncy. Don't seem to hold up as well as the A.D. Starrs.
