Been using Mags for decades, a D cell version as a law officer, for which I had to take a course because hitting someone with it could cause damage (or death). A mini is just as bright and is more handy for a home theater light. So you don't have to turn on the overheads. I use a thirty dollar version with more features for security work and have a silver and this red one for the house. Once you buy a Mag you'll never buy anything else. Why should you? Mags are real flashlights, every thing else is an imitation. And having a serious light instead of some plastic garbage could save your life. And they don't charge a fortune for one. A no brainer, really

MagLite flashlights have been around for decades, with a proven design and solid reputation. While they are not a bargain price wise, their longevity helps make up for that.I have other lights that I prefer in certain critical applications, whether it be for longer battery life, brighter spot, ease of use or intrinsically safe. But I always find myself coming back to the Mini MagLite as a solid backup or for mundane tasks.

At least, it was cheaper and the battery lasts longer.It is as bright as advertized.Nice color.Well made.Just thought I'd found a cheaper LED.Imagine my disappointment.Still, it too good to send back.

Maglite Mini are almost an essential for the toolkit, car's glovebox, the Go-To junk drawer or all. Always bright, sturdy and reliable. I carried one in my gear while bicycle touring through the back roads of Europe for three months. Can't go wrong with keeping one or even more around.

Got my first one while I was a Boy Scout leader (25 yrs). At camp or on the trail, backpacking, always reliable light at hand. Did note that replacement bulbs are expensive. My experience has shown that each bulb can last years, even with considerable usage.

Bought this as a replacement for my original mini Maglite that I've had for 14 years. When you have something as good as this, why change? So, I bought this replacement to carry on where my old Maglite once did the job.

For such a little flashlight the beam is bright as can be. The adjustable focus works well for fine work as well as more broad area illumination. I can not recommend this enough.

Even being an older version of what set the bar, it's still the best. It's also able to be updated easily. The personal flash light that is still number one to me.

I liked having the different lens and the lanyard. Did not like the pocket clip. Will not use it. It got in my way.The light is very bright for its size and it is a convenient size to carry in my purse.
