Just received this product (Maglite Flashlight) today- will use in our ‘traveling vehicle' on trips

Ok folks..these last 2 i bought are my 3rd and 4th lights..My previous lights are the 3D versions..Im about to blow your minds...OK there are 2 ways Im upgrading. Ive upgraded one way so far..The 2nd one im in the process now. Heres the first way i upgraded...Go to malkoffdevices dot com..I do not work for them..im just a happy customer sharing great stuff...Malkoff sells whats called potted lights. That means the components of the light are encased in metal and resin..They become extremely robust and not easily banged up or destroyed. The last thing you want is to fall down or fight with a light in your hand and it goes out right? So by buying a potted light..you will have significantly made it MUUUUUUCH stronger.. Its gonna cost you..but a light is life saving. I personally know 2 people who drowned in their basement because a high rising flood turned the lights out in their own basement leaving it pitch black with water rising and they drowned simply because they couldnt see the staircase to the door in time..A simple flashlight that was water proof and potentially break proof, would have been the difference between laughing about how wet they are compared to struggling for life feeling the walls looking for a railing...THIS IS NO JOKE..A light will save your behind.. My second method of upgrade is more budget friendly and im working on it now with these 2d purchases i made...There is a guy on youtube. His channel name is matt smith...he sells upgrade components to improve the light output on mag lites from factory...he even sells conversion tubes that technically you can make also, but he sells tubes and reflectors and springs that you can add to your maglite to convert them to use lithium batteries...very simple easy to follow stuff and budget friendly...just watch his videos LED conversion Kits for Maglite, Installation and Troubleshooting Guide.. I do not know him but i trust his info and willing to try it. It just makes sense. My priority will always be malkoff devices for lights but for leisure or laying around lights,,these are great upgrades as well...YOUR WELCOME...

I like this heavy duty flashlight from MagLite- the brand Ive trusted for many years. Just wish that it was a bit brighter.

Its not super bright white like modern led flashlights are. Its still bright, but its a focused incandescent bulb. This results in excellent contrast. I use it for finding black screws on black parts because you can see so much detail with it. Its my new go to light.Now, the big con. Its incandescent. That means its not as efficient. So you need a crapton of D batteries to keep it running. It gets good life, but its heavy. Not ideal for holding for long periods of time. The weight is the big negative on this.
