This machine is used to mask sounds coming from thin walls between offices. This machine does the trick

I was looking at this sound machine for months after hearing about it on Tim Ferris podcast. We never had issues with our sleep and our apartment is pretty quiet, but with the pregnancy involved and a baby on the way, I was very excited to consider buying a real sound machine for the nursery vs baby shushers (especially since none of them had even relatively close high ratings). The machine looks cute and neat, it is not too big to keep it on your bedside table, but, oh boy, it is loud!! we set it up on the quietest setting, however, even keeping it on the dresser in a faraway corner of a bedroom made sleeping just impossible. It is louder than Air Conditioner, and even than my hairdryer!! We gave it few nights, trying to adjust, or expecting a miracle.. - those were the most exhausting sleepless nights in our household, so, unfortunately, we had to return it. Perhaps, to each their own, sadly, this product wasn't for us.

I try not to be overly dramatic with my reviews, but this product really is incredible. At first I was skeptical as to whether not a little machine could reduce sound around me without simply distorting it or over writing it. This machine truly does cancel out noise and is diverse in its benefits. Not only is it great for sleeping, but also canceling out noise in the workplace. I feel like I am so much more productive when I have this at the office, not getting distracted by outside noises while I’m trying to work. I highly recommend this product five stars all day long.

Bought this for my infant! But I enjoy it also. We both get better sleep because of it! I’m usually not one for noise at bedtime but this I actually love!

Thought it would sound more like a fan. Sounds more like a heater and so as a result i start to feel hot just listening to it

we sleep very soundly and no dust as with a regular fan....the sound on this machine is great. Wish I had gotten one years ago.

At 1st I was in doubt. But one day I found myself knocked cold out sleeping pretty good. It will make you feel calm & happy

I appreciate the two levels of sound and ability to fine-tune at those two levels. I use it at the quieter level at home when sleeping. I turn it up to the louder level at the office when I am with clients trying to block outside noise.

Replaced old one that lasted somewhere around 30 years. This one is almost a mirror image.

We use it in our bedroom to help us fall asleep when neighbors dogs are barking or noises are too loud that are keeping us awake. Great to have for a nursery also!
