I have a Sleepmate Sound Machine I bought 10 years ago and assumed this product was the same under a different name. They look the same. But the quality is not the same. In comparison, when I turn on the 10 year old Sleepmate and the Dohm at the same time, the Dohm has half the volume of the Sleepmate.May send it back. Still wondering what else is out there w better volume and quality.

We got these when we had a baby. Still use them todayhe's 13! They are great at masking creaky wooden floors in our century old home!

I use this item for a “white noise” sound for my 2 year old as he has slept with one since he was born.Works great I just think the price is a little high for it.

We really like this product. There was a bit of a weird odor upon opening and running for the first time but we ran it in the basement for a while and the odor went away. This unit has improved the quality of our sleep! Like that there is a high or low sound setting. Easy to use.

Great white noise background sound. Does a great job of keeping unwanted noise out. We absolutely love having it on when sleeping. Only complaint is that it quit working after 8 months.

I don't know why there would be a difference between the white and black models but I have purchased the white models in the past but wanted to purchase a black one for my sons room. I tried two different ones and the low setting is pretty useless, you can't hear anything.

This is the best white noise machine. I wish i would have purchased this sooner. Because the Dohm uses a fan instead of a recording, the noise is smoother and doesn???t have recorded variances that i focus on while trying to fall asleep. We have used the Dohm every night since we purchased it. I wish there was a way to turn the volume up a little more to block out for noise for naps during the day.

I've bought this product multiple times because I do like it; the only problem is after a while the motor starts to rattle. I've switched to a different sound machine as a result.

Works great to cover up all sorts of sounds. I'm a very light sleeper but with ear plugs and this little machine, I sleep through almost the whole night. One con is that after about a year and a half, it has started to make a clacking sound and if I didn't wear ear plugs, it'd be very distracting.

Easy to use and effective. I give it 4/5 for 2 reasons, 1. We keep it on the floor by our son's crib and the switch is just tough enough that I can't turn it on and off with my foot and 2. It does get warm when left on for long periods. We do leave it on all night while my son sleeps but I make sure it is turned off as soon as I go in his room.

I love this sound machine. It was a great upgrade for our boys once they outgrew a projection sound machine. I only wish it came in a smaller size for when we travel.

I loved using this every night, but I had it for less then a year and the fan inside started making a weird noise. I took it apart to try and clean the fan off but it didn’t help at all. I’m super disappointed cuz I spent $50 on this! It should have lasted a lot longer!
