older homes have the furnace switch the same height as light switches. This cover prevents accidental turn off of the furnace.

The plastic hinge broke off the first time I tried to open it. Am getting a stainless steel model from a different manufacturer.Thanks guys! You tried!

The cover keeps coming off when I need to turn on the switch. I have it to cover a toggle switch that turns on my garbage disposal. My dog accidentally turned it on jumping up near it. It is a little difficult to lift the cover and then it comes off but not too bad to put back on. Better than having the pup start the disposal with my hand in there to retrieve something. I have no desire to be called Lefty for the rest of my life.

Couldn't be easier to use - just remove the screws in the switch cover and use them to install this switch cover. Works with both traditional toggle switches and the newer decorator style. Fantastic addition to any LOTO kit. However, keep in mind that you will need multiple if working on any fixture that is controlled by more than one switch (aka - 3-way or 4-way switches).

I like that it did exactly what it said it help me protect my loved one.It made my life easier, and it made my light bill go down. I would recommend this for anyone who is a caregiver with dementia loved ones and children.

This works great to stop a two-year-old from turning the lights on and off. If you're installing on a “decorative” switch, you will have to remove the adapters for a regular switch.
