What a clever tool I didn't want to buy, or use, a nail gun but needed to set trim. This did the job perfectly: easy to use with few failure modes.

When my nail gun would jam and not nail the nail all the way in these spring loaded punches worked great to drive the nail further in the wood.

I used these for a few weeks while working with my son. Decided I needed a nail punch. Didn't want to pay this much for these spring punches, and aren't they just a gimmick/gadget anyway? so I ordered old school - hit it with a hammer punches. They arrived. Went to use one. Didn't have my hammer. Didn't want to carry my hammer with me to set nails in trim. Bought these.

These do work and especially good where you cannot swing a hammer, but if you have to do lots of nails with this, it will get pretty tiring over time.
