Mission: Meals on Wheels San Antonio was founded in 1977, as part of Christian Senior Services, to deliver meals to seniors who have difficulty leaving their homes and preparing their own meals. We also provide specialized care for adults with Alzheimer's or other dementia related diseases, along with caregiver respite, at our three Grace Place Alzheimer's Activity Centers.

Target demographics: Isolated and hungry seniors, and those living with Alzheimer's and Dementia

Direct beneficiaries per year: We served nearly one million meals.

Geographic areas served: Bexar County Texas

Programs: Nutritious meals, safety checks, companionship and Alzheimer's daycare.
