This Meguiar???s polisher is a great tool, offering variable speeds, dual action, soft start, and seemingly limitless reliability. Oh, one day in the far future I suppose it???ll need a set of new armature brushes, but thankfully it comes with those too. Otherwise it???ll probably be perfect almost forever.

Fits my Harbor Frieght DA, for anyone that wants to know. It didn???t ruin the backing off my cutting pads when pulling them off. The Velcro seems a lot softer than the one that came on the Harbor Freight DA, which probably extends the pad backing since it???s not so rough. So far I???ve used it for over 4 hours and I???ve had no issues with it at all. Didn???t even have to add sharpie lines since there???s writing on the back, so you can tell if it???s spinning or not. The 5??? backing plate fit 5.5??? chemical guys foam pads. I bought Meguiars 5??? microfiber pads as well and fit on the backing plate well also. Great buy! I???m glad I went for the more expensive backing plate. It???s worth the extra $8. I???m thinking about getting a 3??? for the tighter spots on my car just because I feel like I would be in more control on those areas with something smaller. Otherwise, 5??? has worked fine and actually turned out to be a really good size in my opinion.

This DA polisher is awesome ! Because of the dual action it is nearly impossible to damage/burn paint. This system works especially well with Meguiar???s microfiber correction system. There is not much better of a combo out there regardless of price

I guess I'm just a newbie but I didn't know I was supposed to purchase other items in order to use this polisher. Frankly, I have no idea what I'm supposed to get and this unit is very expensive. Sigh...

Have used for several years always give great finish

I detailed my car like a pro with this...Black Tahoe..left shiny and new..First cut with the red pad, then polish with the yellow pad, finally sealant with the black pad. Waited 2 hours and hand waxed with an applicator. Order an extra pad to wax after you use a sealant and your car will look perfect.

Truly a great product. ALL da polishers vibrate or shake. You???re asking the pad to spin in essentially 2 different motions. Of course its gonna vibrate. Absolutely NO swirl marks. Really nice unit. Thanks

I have not used the replacement pads yet however I have used the one that came with the actual polisher and they are identical. They did a great job on my truck and made the polish and was so much easier to apply. So far the one that came with the polisher has not worn out so no need to use the replacements yet, which says to me 34;good quality34;. How I review: When I review a product said product automatically starts with four stars as I rarely will purchase anything below four stars. I then add and/subtract stars based on certain criteria as listed below. 1. If an item is exactly what I expected and nothing more it will receive a four star rating 2. If an item surpasses my expectations it will gain a star 3. If an item goes slightly below my expectations it will lose a star 4. If the instructions for the product (if needed) are poorly written (hard to understand due to language issues or grammar) or just too hard to follow it will lose a star no matter if the product meets or exceed my expectations 5. If a product is significantly below my expectations I will deduct two stars 6. It will be rare that I would give a product one star since I buy mostly items that have a 4 rating but in rare instances there may be a good reason that even a four star product gets a one star rating from me. It could be because of customer service issues from the company but whatever the case is I will clearly explain my reason for giving a product only one star

Each one that I've used(one for compounding, another one for polishing) is still looking just have been taken out of the package. I used them to my whole car doing compounding and polishing and as I say after I finish using them, they look like they haven't been used; the durability of these products are amazing. It will last for a long time for you to use!
