I got this for my 6 year old and with a little help, it's easy to master. It's not cheaply made, durable like all of Melissa and Doug products! I'm glad they created this one, definitely worth the price!

The set is really pretty. I love the wooden pieces and little mystical artwork. We have not gone through every trick yet but they are fun to learn. So far my only complaint is kind of a big one.The number guessing trick where you have to add the numbers on the card to know what number the person guessed seems to have printed the numbers on the tablet incorrectly or there are missing numbers on the tablet making the trick fail. Its a fun trick so unless im not doing it correctly, i am disappointed about that. I will come back to edit if I find other tricks to not work properly as well. If I could find the correct number combinations I could simply repaint it or something...

This set is great. It's good quality, many of the items are wood and fabric instead of plastic.The tricks are different than all the basic ones that come in most kits. Some of the trick are very easy, some are moderate and there's one that's more difficult, which is good. All tricks come with directions on how to do them.I wish the wooden box that everything stores in came with a clasp, it doesn't. We use a thick eleastic head band to keep it closed when it's stored, which works just fine.

My kids (8, 6) live playing with these! Most of the tricks are super simple and super cute. Some are more tricky and take me performing them several times teaching the kids. They mostly like the simple ones. I enjoyed learning them with my kids. We even put on magic shows for friends and family when they come over. The tricks, for the most part, are age appropriate and fun. For a first time learnerI highly recommend this magic set!
