Pieces came partially bowed.

Our 3 1/2 year-old granddaughter loves this puzzle. She put it together at least 3 times on the first afternoon and carried the pieces in the box everywhere she went for the first few days. Now we'll happily have to begin looking for harder puzzles.

Our two and a half year old grandson loves floor puzzles and this is perfect for little hands. The pieces are thick and sturdy and fit together smoothly and the colors are accurate. We have all of the Melissa and Doug large floor puzzles. Would recommend for preschool classrooms because they can take the wear and tear of continuous use.

This is our second Melissa Doug jumbo puzzle. The first one is 8 years old and only one of the pieces is starting to show ware, but is still usable. The kids have literally walked all over these things and they hold up great.

My two year old loved this puzzle. It is well constructed and nice big pieces.

This was a gift for my daughter's third birthday and she LOVES it. This was her first floor puzzle, and she took to it instantly. She loves animals, so the colorful safari pictures drew her in immediately. It took her a few times to feel confident but now she asks to do the 34;big puzzle34; several times a week. I'm adding several more big floor puzzles to her wish list for Christmas as I know she won't get sick of these anytime soon! Only drawback is that the pieces (along the edges and such) have started to show a little wear (cardboard fraying? not sure how to describe it). She definitely isn't rough with the pieces and she's only had it two months. So just be aware this isn't an indestructible toy ;)
