My son loves to play with numbers and letters. These are great because you don't have to worry about your child getting a magnet lose and in his mouth like other brands.

Wonderful fun gift for a young child learning their numbers... or even younger for those that love magnets. These are made so much better than some I have purchased in times past...

As a retired educator, I always look for Melissa and Doug toys to give as gifts for family members. Their products are consistently top-notch in sturdiness and color. I highly recommend these!

They are nice magnets and you get many of them. The magnets are super weak though. They stick to the magnet board but are too weak to stick to eachother. Which is probably a good thing for a toddler.

Purchased for my 10 month old grandson and he loves them. He was just learning to play with magnets on the refrigerator, so I figured it was time for a set of ABC magnets. The box is nice for storage. The magnets are thin so little hands can manipulate them easily. They adhere nicely.

They're okay I think I prefer the plastic ones too the wooden ones.Be careful where you place them- my 10 month old managed to fit the "three" sideways in his mouth. They are too large to swallow whole, and they are too durable for him to break- but I did move all the "ones/1" up really high because I was afraid he may be able to swallow those at the right angle. I would wait until your kid is past the putting everything in his mouth stage to let them play with them.they're more for playing and don't hold things up really well- pictures, cards, groceries lists, small paper they all fall when I try to use these magenta for that. They're more for playing and learning than functional magnets.Bright colors, fun, and we will probably eventually use them to help him with counting but right now they're just kind of hanging out really high up on the fridge.

Very educational. Grandson loves it. Letter and numbers are sturdy and the storage box is a plus.

Birthday time was approaching. Parents specifically requested Doug and Melissa brand magnetic alphabet product for their 1 year old because he was so facinated with the product on his cousin's refrigerator during a recent visit. I was told they wanted because the magnet was the same size as the alphabet and not easily swallowed by a child. When they arrived, I thought they looked small enough a very young child could put in their mouth....could be why they are recommended age 3 . I game them anyway. Child is closely supervised when this toy is in reach. He loves the colors.

Got these for my 3 1/2 year old grandson to play with on the fridge. They are a really nice quality but wish they came with at least 2 of each letter to be able to spell words that have double letters.

(I bought both the numbers and letters set) and neither hold up to the wear-and-tear young toddlers will put them through such as biting and dropping into the dogs water bowl. They're nice when they're new though and are in a nice, reusable box.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter loves the Melissa Doug magnets. When she was very young, I bought the animal set and put them on my refrigerator. They helped her learn her animals and animal sounds. She has played with them so much, that I purchased these additional sets as a Christmas gift.

15 month old Grandson loves to put these on and off the fridge, learning as i and his parents say what each animal is, do the animals sound, say the alphabet and count with the numbers! The only thing to watch for :), is the fridge is by the shoe rack for outdoors shoes, got to check your shoes before putting your foot in! Seriously, these are quality magnets in everyway!
