great set! Well made and good variety. I gave it too my 5 month old as something he could prolly with only if we were sitting right there watching. He has loved it since day 1! He enjoys holding, shaking, and banging each item to explore their sounds. When not playing with it, we keep it up out of reach but visible. He's almost 8 months old and at some point every day he crawls over and reaches for it. We did put the metal stick for the triangle away for now as it's quite long and skinny and too good for sticking in his mouth. I would highly recommend not to let babies play with it unsupervised as the handles fit easily in the mouth so if a baby were to roll or topple over could jam it inside their mouths and hurt for sure.

This was the best of the three sets of instruments that i purchased. Nice quality instruments. Not small like the others I purchased. They were a hit at my son's first birthday Jam Session. The kids loved them!
