The paint started to come out from the brick and into baby's mouth and tongue... :( Is it lead free? Who knows!

I wish I read some of the reviews first. The products is of poor quality. The sliding part of the box that holds the blocks in opens up when box is turned to find correct opening to put the block in.

Really lame. Super cheap. Blocks had dents all over them right out of the package. Thin, full paint job. And the shape sorter lid falls out all the time. Really disappointed in Melissa and Doug's quality on this one. The Cubbie Lee shape sorter we got was much better quality

In theory this is a good product, however the part that slides off so that the kids can get the pieces out slides off way to easily. It’s hard for a toddler to learn how to put the shapes in their hole when they know they can just slide off the latch and put them through there. May want to consider one that is more secure. Otherwise it good quality.

I like this toy a lot, though one of the pieces was chipped and very sharp, so I luckily found that and took it away from my son before he could hurt himself.

This is a functional, colorful, and practical gift for Baby. It works as described. However, my 6 month old immediately put the yellow shape in his mouth and was able to but off a chunk of wood and paint came off in his mouth. (He only has his 2 bottom teeth.) Moral of the story: Wait to give this toy to your child until after he’s done teething.
