The paint started to come out from the brick and into baby's mouth and tongue... :( Is it lead free? Who knows!

I wish I read some of the reviews first. The products is of poor quality. The sliding part of the box that holds the blocks in opens up when box is turned to find correct opening to put the block in.

Really lame. Super cheap. Blocks had dents all over them right out of the package. Thin, full paint job. And the shape sorter lid falls out all the time. Really disappointed in Melissa and Doug's quality on this one. The Cubbie Lee shape sorter we got was much better quality

The paint comes off when scratched or rubbed. Not good quality at all, especially for a young child who is learning but also put things in his mouth. My son got the cooornof the blocks on his teeth.

Extremely disappointed in the quality of this toy. I generally love Melissa and Doug toys, but I think this is the last straw for me. It arrived open, broken and splintered. Not okay.

I'm pretty disappointed by this product. We buy a lot of MD products as we love wooden toys. Usually it's well made, but this wasn't. First, it's much too hard for younger toddlers. I bought this for my 20mo old, and majority of the shapes he can't quite get. That was my fault, as I didn't pay attention, but I feel adding octagon, hexagons and parallelogram was a bit much for this age range. It's made it too complicated, which then ruins the fun. Second, the wood is cheap. My kids are regular kids, they can be rough sometimes, but my 20mo is definitely more gentler than his sister. The wood chipped by the second day, and the lid split by the third. All he did was push it in to close, and it snapped. Very unimpressed as th

Paint chipped after just a few weeks. Had to throw away

I was so excited to get this for my daughter. I got it for her for a valentines day gift. I gave it to her and with 20 minutes she had the shapes in her mouth and the color was coming off and all over her face.

Poor quality, melissa doug is not what is used to be. Paint is chipping terribly and color marks up anything it comes in contact with.

Many flaws - paint chips easily, uneven surfaces, cracked pieces, and the sliding top does not close properly. I’m also annoyed that I was unable to easily/completely remove a large product sticker that was placed directly on the cube (an unnecessary sticker at that since it was also wrapped in plastic).

Very disappointed with this product. I usually love Melissa and Doug products. Wood is very thin. The top of it slides in and out and doesn't stay in place
